Where do other MDA parties stand on reshuffling ministers?

Shillong, Sep 15: While Public Health Engineering Minister Samlin Malngiang is not keen on giving up his cabinet berth too soon to Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) colleague Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar, the situation in other allied parties differs from that of the HSPDP.
Tongkhar and party President KP Pangniang both say that an agreement to share HSPDP’s lone cabinet seat does exist and, now at the halfway stage, the time is approaching for Tongkhar to take over from Malngiang.
However, the United Democratic Party (UDP) has ruled out changing ministers mid-race, but it is not known what the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will do. The UDP has six MLAs, the PDF four and BJP two.
The National People’s Party (NPP), which is the largest partner in the coalition government, earlier said that any decision to replace ministers lies with the decision of the individual partner party.
