Contact trace in SWKH complete, 26 tested negative with RAT

Mawkyrwat, Aug 7: South West Khasi Hills district have completed contact tracing of persons who came in contact with a Covid-19 positive pharmacist who visited Rangthong PHC and Mawkyrwat market and all persons were advised to undergo home quarantine strictly and to follow all necessary health protocols.
Deputy Commissioner Isawanda Laloo in a statement today informed that 26 contacts including all primary and high-risk contacts from Rangthong PHC were tested with Rapid Antigen Test today and the results of all came out negative. Seven high-risk contacts from the ATM were also tested negative, she added.
However, confirmatory test through RT-PCR will be conducted for some high risk and primary contacts on Monday, the Deputy Commissioner said.
Laloo informed that at Rangthong PHC, four staff are the primary high-risk contacts, 16 staff are primary contacts and patients to PHC and other contacts are 67.
At Mawkyrwat market, there are 51 ATM visitors, seven high risk ATM users and 38 people visited the two shops which the pharmacist visited on August 4.
