Contact tracing not complete: DHS

HP NEWS SERVICE
Shillong, Jul 31: Director of Health Service (MI), Dr. Aman War today said contact tracing has not yet been completed.
“Sometimes we are searching for people also, that is why it is taking such a long time,” he said.
Giving the example of Mawbah locality in the city Dr. War said that contact tracing there will take a lot of time.
“If we test the high risk contacts and if those results come out negative then it is a relief for us then it eases up everything,” he said.
He said that if contacts are tested negative in containment areas then these are opened up and the government converts these into micro areas wherein only a particular house of houses in contact with the positive person are contained.
It may be mentioned that the government has decided to have a micro management system to ensure the entire locality or village need not be declared as containment area.
By adopting micro management, only a portion of the locality or village where a positive case has been detected will be declared as containment area, according to the government.
