Metbah urge CM to act on load shedding

Shillong, Jan 15: The Meghalaya Assembly Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh on Wednesday has urged the state government to immediately act to curb the load shedding in the state.
Concerned over the long hours of load shedding, Lyngdoh said that it has affected the students who are to appear for various examinations including the Class X and Class XII board exams.
The Assembly Speaker, who is also the president of the United Democratic Party (UDP) an ally of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance coalition urged the Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma to stop the load shedding for the time being or reduce the hours.
Lyngdoh told the Chief Minister that he received requests from parents whose children are supposed to appear for the board and other examinations the load shedding has affected their childrens preparations.
