Meghalaya sees rapid rise in Covid-19 cases, tally rises to 33

HP NEWS SERVICE Shillong, Jun 3: The State is seeing a rapid rise in Covid-19 cases with the arrival of returnees, mostly from ‘red zones’ elsewhere in the country. Today, the State recorded three new cases taking the total tally up to 33 so far. Health and Family Welfare Minister Alexander Laloo Hek informed that these three residents include two from East Khasi Hills district and one from West Jaiñtia Hills district. “They have returned to Meghalaya from Agra in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Goa,” he said.
