African swine fever confirmed in Meghalaya

HP NEWS SERVICE Shillong, Aug 13: Meghalaya has become the third state in the country after Assam and Arunachal Pradesh where the African Swine Fever (ASF) was detected. The State today confirmed death of 24 pigs after samples of the pigs were tested positive of ASF. ASF has killed nearly 2,500 pigs in six districts across Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in May this year.
