KHADC EC collapses after no-confidence vote

HP NEWS SERVICE Shillong, Nov 20: The United Democratic Alliance (UDA)-led executive committee in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) today collapsed after it was defeated by a single vote in a ‘no confidence’ motion moved by the opposition Congress. The members of the ruling UDA include UDP – 7, NPP – 7, HSPDP – 2, PDF – 1 and 2 Independents while the opposition consists of 10 members that include 9 from the Congress and one Independent.
